Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! A highlight of the week was having Ben's sister Katie here for more than her usual 2-night stays. She flew in last Friday (20th) and flies out tomorrow. Ellen LOVES all the attention she is getting. Here are some pictures from the week.

There are so many things that I am thankful for. I especially am thankful for my family. They are my world. I'm thankful that I get to stay home with Ellen and watch her learn and grow every day. I have the most wonderful husband that I love so much, and the best parents, siblings, in-laws, extended family that I could ask for. I am thankful for my Savior, Jesus Christ, and the role that he plays in my life. This last week has been a great opportunity to reflect on all that I have been blessed with in my life. Hope you all had a wonderful week!

Jumper girl

Ellen has recently discovered how to jump in her johnny jumper. She loves it! Enjoy the video!

Happy Halloween

We didn't go trick or treating but I had to get Ellen a costume so here's her big debut:
I love Ellen's face in this picture. She's not quite sure what to think.
All ready to go (or all ready to stay at home)

Cute little pumpkin!

Pumpkin FHE

Tonight for FHE we decided to carve a pumpkin. Here are the results:

This is a classic Ellen look. I love it!

Getting all cleaned up. She always covers herself up in naked pictures (or tries to). So modest! Carving the top off the pumpkin was as far as we got. We thought the pumpkin would look best if we just put Ellen in it. So that's what we did!

Washington

Ellen and I left Ben for a week and flew to Washington. Ellen was an angel on the flight there, but the flight home left something to be desired. We stayed with my mom for a few days and then I watched my sister's kids while she and her husband went on a trip. We had a super fun week and I've decided that Ben and I can have more kids. Here are some pictures from the week.

Rice Cereal

Ellen got to try rice cereal for the first time this weekend. Here she is all ready to try it.
She doesn't really know what to think at first and I'm pretty sure she didn't even swallow any.

She likes it better the 2nd day, but still not sure if she swallowed any.
I am happy to report that she actually swallowed some today! She has her 4 month checkup tomorrow so I'll have all of her stats then!

Can it be true?

Is my baby really 4 months old now? I really can't believe it! She just gets cuter and cuter every day and it is so fun to watch her learn new things. She recently started standing (with help) and wants to stand all the time. She's also reaching for her toys and loves to stick anything in her mouth. I've gotten her to laugh a few times and it's really the cutest thing in the world. We'll have to try to get it on video sometime. This month we get to start solid foods! YUM! Isn't she a doll?
